Terms of Use

1. Nature Of The Service

Fixtures, kick-off times, live scores, rankings, line-ups and results shown in the Service are aggregated from public sources, partner feeds, school communications, and supporter submissions. The Service is provided for informational and entertainment purposes. We do not guarantee that any score, fixture, ranking or schedule is complete, current or free of errors. Treat all match data as provisional until confirmed by the relevant school, tournament organiser or official broadcaster.

2. Eligibility And Acceptable Use

The Service is intended for South African school rugby supporters, parents, schools, tournament organisers and adult fans. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You will not: (a) attempt to access non-public administrative areas, (b) submit abusive, defamatory or misleading content, (c) submit private information about minors, (d) interfere with the Service’s operation (rate-limit bypass, scraping at abusive volume, malware), or (e) resell or systematically republish data from the Service without our written permission.

3. Supporter Submissions

Score corrections, fixture corrections, and other supporter feedback sent to us via the contact email or any in-app form are moderated. We do not guarantee any submission will be published or actioned. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share, content involving learners’ private personal information, or content that could place a minor at risk.

4. Intellectual Property

The Bok4Scores name, wordmark, goalposts-4 mark, layout, and original editorial copy are our intellectual property. School names, school crests, tournament names and tournament marks belong to their respective schools and tournament organisers and are used in the Service for identification only, in line with fair use for school sports reporting. If you are a rights holder and would like your mark adjusted or removed, email us at the address below.

5. No Betting Or Cash Prizes

The Service does not operate gambling, betting, cash prizes or paid predictor competitions. If a prediction game is added in future, it will be free-to-play, run under separate terms, kept architecturally separate from published match results, and launched only with appropriate privacy controls.

6. Third-Party Sources And Links

The Service references and links to third-party sources such as school websites, SuperSport Schools, Ultimate Rugby, and tournament organisers. We are not responsible for content, availability, or privacy practices of those third parties. Use of any third-party site is at your own risk and subject to their own terms.

7. Availability And Changes

The Service is a public beta. Features may be added, changed or removed without notice. We may suspend or interrupt the Service for maintenance, security, or operational reasons. We do not commit to any uptime, support response time, or service level during the beta.

8. Disclaimer Of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose, including making financial, travel, attendance or wagering decisions.

9. Limitation Of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profits, data, opportunity, or goodwill. Our total liability for any direct loss arising from the Service is limited to ZAR 500 or the amount you have paid us for the Service in the preceding twelve months, whichever is lower. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under South African law.

10. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service you acknowledge the Privacy Policy. To request deletion or correction of personal data, email the contact address below.

11. Governing Law And Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of South Africa with jurisdiction over the operator’s registered address. Where the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 or the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) provides you with stronger protections than these terms, those protections prevail.

12. Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version always applies. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
